MRO Exchange Return Policy

We want you to be confident buying surplus equipment from MRO Exchange. Every item is inspected, photographed, and categorized by condition before listing. If something arrives that doesn't match our listing, we'll make it right.

Return Window

Returns are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date for eligible items in the conditions listed below.

Return Eligibility by Condition

Factory Sealed
Returnable if the factory seal remains intact and the item has not been opened. Items returned with broken seals or opened packaging will be evaluated as Open Box and may be refused or subject to additional fees.

Open Box – Unused
Returnable in the same condition as shipped, with all original packaging, documentation, and accessories included. Items showing signs of installation or use will be refused.

Inspected Surplus – Appears Unused
Returnable in the same condition as shipped. Items showing signs of installation, modification, or use beyond what was documented in the original listing photos will be refused.

Surplus – Untested
These items are sold as-is and are not eligible for return based on buyer preference, fit, or functional issues. Returns are accepted only if the item materially differs from the listing photos or description. Photos of the unit as received are required for review.


Restocking Fee

A flat 25% restocking fee applies to all approved returns. This fee covers inspection, repackaging, relisting, and the cost of handling returned inventory.


Return Shipping

Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.


When We Cover Everything

If we made an error, such as wrong item shipped or wrong quantity, we'll cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee. Contact us within 30 days of the purchase date with photos and we'll provide a prepaid return label.


Damaged in Transit

Inspect your shipment upon delivery. Report freight damage within 48 hours with photos of the unit and packaging. We'll work with you to file a carrier claim. Damage reported after 48 hours cannot be processed through the carrier.


Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Surplus – Untested items returned for buyer preference or functional issues (see condition eligibility above)
  • Items modified, installed, or altered after delivery
  • Items missing original parts, accessories, or documentation
  • Items damaged after delivery
  • Custom or special-order items
  • Items returned after 30 days from the invoice date


How to Request a Return

  1. Email sales@mroexchange.com within 30 days of the invoice date with your order number and reason for return
  2. We'll respond within 1 business day with return authorization and shipping instructions
  3. Ship the item back, tracked and insured, at your expense
  4. Once received and inspected, refunds are processed within 5 business days to the original payment method, less the 25% restocking fee
