Used in machine safety and functional safety applications across manufacturing and process environments, the ABB Jokab Safety PLUTO B46 v2 is a compact programmable safety controller (PSC) rated for 24V DC operation. Part number 2TLA020070R1700, this unit carries CE and CSA certifications and is TUV Rheinland FS rated, confirming compliance with IEC 61508 SIL 3, EN ISO 13849-1 Cat 4 PLe, EN 954-1 Category 4, and EN 574 Type 4. Made in Sweden.

The B46 v2 provides a total of 46 configurable I/O points: 24 failsafe digital inputs, 16 non-failsafe outputs configurable as failsafe inputs, 4 individually failsafe relay outputs rated at 250V AC/DC, and 2 individually failsafe transistor outputs. Supply voltage is 24V DC with a maximum current draw of 7A. The unit supports CAN and PROFIBUS communication protocols and includes a hardware version of 2.12.

The PLUTO B46 v2 communicates natively over the PLUTO safety bus, allowing multiple controllers to be networked in a single safety system without additional gateways.
