The ABB BSR23, part number 2TLA010041R0600, is a Sentry series safety expansion relay manufactured in Germany by ABB AB Jokab Safety. It is designed to increase the number of safe outputs on an existing safety relay or safety PLC system. The relay provides 4 normally open (NO) and 1 normally closed (NC) relay outputs, with output terminals at positions 13/14, 23/24, 33/34, 43/44, and 51/52. Supply voltage is 24 VDC (operating range 19.2 to 27.6 VDC), rated at 5W. NO contact ratings are AC1/AC15 250V 5A and DC1/DC13 24V 6A with a 6A fuse; NC contact ratings are AC1/AC15 250V 0.5A and DC1/DC13 24V 3A with a 4A fuse. Terminal inputs include receive channels R1 and R2 and test channels X1 and X2. Wire size accommodates 12 to 24 AWG (0.21 to 3.31 mm²) solid or stranded wire, with a strip length of 6 to 7 mm and a terminal torque of 0.8 Nm. The unit is DIN rail mounted and carries an IP20 enclosure rating. Safety certifications include EN 61508 up to SIL3, EN ISO 13849-1 up to PLe/Cat.4, EN 62061 up to SILCL3, EN 61511-1, IEC 60947-5-1, and GB/T14048.5. Approvals include UL, TUV SUD, CE, and CCC.
