The Unipass tandem design combines roughing and finishing sections on a single tap body, producing Class 2G ACME threads in a single pass without requiring a lead screw. The tap measures 10-1/8 in. overall length and features 4 straight flutes with a ground HSS (HSG) construction. The thread specification of 1 in. diameter at 5 threads per inch conforms to the National ACME standard, suitable for producing load-bearing threads in through-hole applications across steel and most non-ferrous metals. ACME thread form is commonly specified for lead screws, linear actuators, and power transmission components where high load capacity and self-locking characteristics are required. The plug chamfer style is appropriate for through-hole applications.
