The Allen-Bradley 1771-IFE is a 12-bit analog input module designed for use in PLC-5 rack-based control systems. Cat. No. 1771-IFE, Series A, Firmware Rev. C, Allen-Bradley part number 966317-01. The module supports 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog input channels, accepting both voltage and current input signals. Backplane power requirement is 0.75 amps at 5VDC. Communication with the processor is via block transfer interface, and no external power supply is required. The module occupies a single slot in the 1771 I/O chassis. Terminal identification is printed on the faceplate label, covering inputs 1 through 16 single-ended and inputs 1 through 8 differential, with module common terminals at positions 5, 10, 15, 20, and 21. A RUN and FLT indicator LED pair is visible on the module latch assembly. The 1771-IFE was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2017 and is no longer available through authorized distribution channels. It remains in active use in legacy PLC-5 automation systems across a range of industrial applications. UL listed when used with a listed system. Made in U.S.A.
