This is an Allen-Bradley 1791DS-IB12 DeviceNet Safety CompactBlock I/O module. The nameplate reads Allen-Bradley, Cat. No. 1791DS-IB12, Series A, Date Code 2013/10/16, DIR. 10000041928, Ver. 03, 16X3M, All Power and I/O Class 2 Supply Only, DNET PWR 24VDC 100mA, Safety Input 12 inputs 24VDC 6mA per point, Test Output 4 outputs 24VDC 0.7A max per point, and serial *SV3BL4BI*. It shows UL Listed marks, 71TM, Cl. I Div. 2 Gp A, B, C, D, Cl. I Zn. 2 Gp IIC, Temp. Code T4, SRCD 16XG, CE, TUV Rheinland FS type approved, the Safety DeviceNet conformance tested logo, and Product of China. A separate label on the housing reads See manual for overall system response time calculations.
The module has a red top cover and a black base. It has four removable black screw terminal blocks numbered 1 to 40, a gray DeviceNet connector, node address switches and an LED status panel with input indicators 0 to 11. Field wiring is still installed in the terminal blocks and the DeviceNet connector, in blue, red, black and white wires with wire marker sleeves. Several wire ends are stripped, loose or frayed.
