The Allen-Bradley 1756-DHRIO is a ControlLogix platform DH+ and Remote I/O communication interface module designed to bridge Data Highway Plus and Remote I/O networks within a ControlLogix chassis. The unit visible in photos is Series D, Catalog Revision A01, Firmware Revision 6.1, manufactured in the USA. Part number 96484871 is confirmed on the module nameplate; the outer carton additionally lists part number 96484881 (A01 revision). Current draw is rated at 850 mA at 5 VDC and 1.7 mA at 24 VDC per the nameplate. The module provides two independent communication channels, designated CH A and CH B, with an OK status indicator visible on the front face. It is compatible with ControlLogix 1756 series backplane systems and supports DH+ baud rates up to 230.4 kbps as well as Remote I/O scanning functions. The 1756-DHRIO is used in applications requiring legacy DH+ or RIO network integration alongside modern ControlLogix processors, commonly found in automotive, material handling, and general manufacturing automation environments.
