The Allen Bradley 1771-OBD Series C is a 16 point digital DC output module from the Rockwell Automation PLC 5 family, designed to energize DC powered field devices such as solenoids, relay coils, indicator lamps, and pilot duty loads in 1771 I/O chassis applications. Catalog number 1771-OBD, Series C, with manufacturer part numbers 96211485 and 96211474, packaged on 03/23/07. The unit ships in opened original Allen Bradley packaging, unused, with installation instructions for publication 1771-IN056C EN P (November 2006) and an internal 10A 250V rectifier fuse. Operating voltage range is 10 to 60V DC with a nominal on state output voltage of 48V DC. Current rating is 2 A per output resistive, not to exceed 8 A per module, with 0.2 A per output pilot duty. Backplane current draw is 400 mA at 5V DC. The module is non isolated, sourcing type, and installs in 1771-A1B through 1771-A4B I/O chassis. Field wiring is connected through 1771-WH, 1771-WHF, or 1771-WHFB wiring arms (sold separately). This module is compatible with the PLC 5 product family and was discontinued by Rockwell Automation on January 31, 2021, making new old stock units a sourcing priority for legacy PLC 5 system maintenance and replacement programs.
