The Allen Bradley 1762-IQ16 is a 16 point digital input module from the MicroLogix 1200 expansion I/O family, designed to add discrete sensing capacity to a MicroLogix 1100 or 1200 controller system. The catalog number 1762-IQ16 corresponds to Bulletin 1762, Series A, Revision B as marked on the carton label. Each of the 16 input points accepts a 24V DC sink or source signal, allowing flexible field wiring with PNP or NPN sensors, switches, and pilot devices. Nominal input voltage is 24V DC with an operating range of 10V to 30V DC and an input current draw of approximately 1 mA per point. Signal transition delay is rated at 8 ms on and 8 ms off. Terminations use removable screw terminal blocks, and the module mounts on standard DIN rail or panel. The unit is rated for Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C, D hazardous location use and carries UL, cUL, and CE marks along with C Tick (N223). Manufacture date code on the label is 01/09, country of origin Malaysia. The carton bears an unbroken factory seal label and the original Allen Bradley catalog label showing CAT 1762 IQ16, SER A, REV B, BULLETIN 1762, MicroLogix 1200. Typical applications include OEM machinery, packaging lines, material handling controls, water and wastewater systems, and other small to mid sized discrete control panels using the MicroLogix platform.
