The Allen-Bradley 1783-EMS08T is a Stratix 6000 series industrial Ethernet managed switch designed for EtherNet/IP automation networks. Catalog number 1783-EMS08T, Series B, mat. no. PN-118360, manufactured August 2017. The unit features eight 10/100 Mbps RJ45 copper ports with full and half duplex operation and one optional SFP fiber uplink slot for 1 Gbps fiber connectivity. Input power is 12 to 48 VDC with a maximum draw of 5.8 W. The switch carries a CL 1 DIV 2 rating for Groups A, B, C, and D, Temp Code T4, and ETL certification. It also carries ATEX certification ITS09ATEX4614U for II 3 G Ex ic nA IIC T4 Gc environments. The device supports EtherNet/IP via a CIP interface with predefined Logix tags and integrates with Studio 5000 Add-On Profiles and FactoryTalk View faceplates. Network features include VLAN with trunking, QoS, IGMP snooping and querier, RSTP, port mirroring, MAC ID port security, and DHCP IP address assignment per port.
