The Allen-Bradley 1794-AENT is a Flex I/O EtherNet/IP communication adapter manufactured by Rockwell Automation. Catalog number 1794-AENT, Series B, firmware revision 4.004, serial number 305303976, with a product date of 2022/11/03. The unit is sealed in its original factory packaging with the Allen-Bradley factory seal label intact.
The 1794-AENT serves as the network interface between an EtherNet/IP control network and up to eight Flex I/O modules on a single DIN rail backplane. It supports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet communication and uses 24V DC input power supplied through a two position screw terminal block on the top of the module. The front face includes Module Status, Network Status, and Link Status LEDs, along with two rotary switches used to set the last octet of the node IP address. A printed label area on the housing is provided for recording the IP address, subnet mask, and assigned Ethernet MAC address.
The module is housed in an open style enclosure with IP20 rating and is designed for DIN rail mounting inside an enclosed control panel. Typical applications include distributed I/O architectures in CNC machine tools, packaging lines, material handling systems, water and wastewater installations, and process control panels using ControlLogix, CompactLogix, or PLC 5 controllers communicating over EtherNet/IP. Compliance markings on the carton include CE, UKCA, EAC, KCC, RCM, and CCC. Manufactured in Singapore by Rockwell Automation, Milwaukee, WI.
