Allen-Bradley Motor Starter 509-BOD

Used in motor control centers and standalone motor control applications, the Allen-Bradley 509-BOD is a NEMA Size 1 full voltage non-reversing motor starter rated at 27 amps continuous, 600VAC maximum. The catalog number 509-BOD designates an open-type, non-combination unit without enclosure, designed for 3-phase, 3 to 5 pole applications. This example is Series B and is equipped with a eutectic alloy overload relay and a CB236 coil rated at 115-120V at 60Hz and 110V at 50Hz. A 595-A auxiliary contact block is visible mounted to the side of the starter body. Output terminals are labeled T1, T2, and T3; input terminals are labeled L1, L2, and L3. Maximum ratings for 3-phase operation are 7.5 HP at 200V or 230V and 10 HP at 460 to 575V. The unit includes a manual reset button and a TRIPPED indicator on the overload relay assembly. Assembled in Mexico per the nameplate. The 509-BOD is part of Allen-Bradley's Bulletin 509 line of NEMA full voltage starters and is compatible with standard MCC bucket configurations for Size 0 through Size 5.
