Product Description

This is an Allen-Bradley 509-DOD motor starter. The nameplate reads Size 3, Catalog No. 509-DOD, Series A, Max. Ratings P. PH. 3-5 Pole, 200V 25 HP, 230V 30 HP, 460-575V 50 HP, 90 Amp Max. Continuous, 600V AC Max, Allen-Bradley, Milwaukee, Wisconsin U.S.A. UL and CSA marks are printed on the plate. The coil label reads 115-120V 60 Hz and is partly cut off. No serial number is shown in the photo.

The unit has three large lug terminals at the top with hex-socket set screws and bolts, marked L1, L2 and L3. The lugs are tarnished and a layer of dust and dirt covers the housing and coil area. A red wire with a blue crimp connector is attached to one coil terminal, and a black wire runs off the left side.

Sold as surplus, untested. This unit has not been powered on or tested by MRO Exchange, and the contacts, coil, and overload components have not been verified.
