The Allen Bradley 836-C7 is an electromechanical pressure control switch from the Bulletin 836 series, Series A, manufactured in the USA. This Style C device features an external copper alloy bellows actuator with a 1/4 in. NPTF female pipe connection, suitable for water, air, and other liquids or gases that are not corrosive to copper alloy. The unit includes a built in pulsation snubber, supplied as a removable assembly for inspection or replacement. The adjustable operating range covers 4 to 150 PSI (0 to 10.3 bar), with an adjustable differential of 2 to 25 PSI (0.14 to 1.75 bar) at approximate mid range values. Maximum safe pressure is rated at 300 PSI (20.7 bar or 2070 kPa). The contact block is configured as SPST with one normally open and one normally closed contact, rated for pilot duty at AC 125 VA, 24 to 600V, and DC 57.5 VA, 125 to 250V. Range adjustment is performed by turning the range screw clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease, while differential adjustment uses a separate screw turned clockwise to decrease the differential. The unit carries UL, CSA, and CE certifications, and the temperature rating spans 30 to 66 degrees C. Catalog markings on the nameplate read 836 C7, Series A. Applications include compressed air systems, hydraulic power units, water systems, and general industrial pressure monitoring and control.
