The Allen-Bradley 1771-ASC is a Universal Remote I/O Adapter Module manufactured by Allen-Bradley Co., Programmable Controller Systems Division, Cleveland, Ohio. The module carries catalog number 1771-ASC as marked on the nameplate. It is designed for use with Allen-Bradley PLC-2, PLC-3, and PLC-5 programmable controller platforms and communicates over the Remote I/O link at 57.6 Kbit/s. The module mounts in a standard 1771 I/O chassis and connects to the backplane via the card edge connector visible on the unit. Terminal connections are made through the 1771-WB wiring arm interface, with a 12-terminal identification label showing Line 1, Line 2, Shield, and Reset functions. The unit is UL Listed (File 106V, Two Cont Eq) and marked Made in U.S.A. An internal barcode label reading SR0BZ6UD is present, along with an additional sticker labeled A0950944. The Name, Firmware Rev., and Series fields on the secondary nameplate label are unfilled. Status indicators on the front face include Active, Adapter Fault, and I/O Rack Fault LEDs.
