The Bihl+Wiedemann BWU1569 is an AS-i 3.0 PROFIBUS Gateway housed in a stainless steel enclosure, designed for use in industrial automation systems requiring integration between AS-Interface field networks and PROFIBUS control architectures. The unit operates as a 2-master gateway, supporting two AS-i circuits from a single integrated power supply rated at 30V (6W) per AS-i network. The AS-Interface positive rail is rated at 30V while the negative rail is referenced to 0V. Communication with the PROFIBUS network is handled via an RS485 interface, and the unit also includes an RS232 port for diagnostic and configuration access.
