The B&R X20BC0083 is an Ethernet POWERLINK bus controller designed for use within the B&R X20 modular I/O system. It serves as the interface between an Ethernet POWERLINK network and the X2X Link, enabling X2X Link I/O nodes to communicate over the POWERLINK protocol. The X2X Link cycle can be operated synchronously at a 1:1 ratio or synchronized to POWERLINK using a prescaler. POWERLINK is an open real-time Ethernet protocol built on Fast Ethernet hardware with deterministic cycle timing, making the X20BC0083 suitable for motion control and high-speed automation applications.
