Used in sanitary process piping systems for isolation and flow control, the Cipriani Harrison 9C440/63/22 is a 4 in. pneumatically actuated butterfly valve constructed from AISI 316L stainless steel. The valve body and disc are manufactured by a forging process, yielding a dense, non-porous grain structure with a polished surface finish. Sanitary Tri-Clamp ends allow integration into standard hygienic process lines used in food and beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and biotech applications. The 316L alloy designation provides improved corrosion resistance compared to standard 316 stainless, making it suitable for more chemically demanding process environments. Cipriani Harrison butterfly valves in this series feature a slim disc profile designed for high Cv flow characteristics, with a PTFE stem bushing for smooth quarter-turn operation. The integral pneumatic actuator on this assembly enables automated open and close actuation. The actuator cylinder body is also stainless steel construction and is secured to the valve body via a rigid bracket assembly visible in photos. The valve carries a red elastomeric seat visible at the disc face. The model number 9C440/63/22 is laser engraved on the actuator cylinder. Material of construction is confirmed as AISI 316L per the engraved marking on the valve body clamp ring.
