The Cutler-Hammer LS500 is a 3-pole, L Frame, 500 amp molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton in the United States. It is rated for use on DC circuits using any two poles or on single-phase AC circuits, and carries a non-interchangeable trip unit as noted on the nameplate. The L Frame designation places this unit in Eaton's heavy-duty molded case breaker family, suitable for industrial panelboard and switchgear applications requiring high-amperage branch and feeder protection.

Wire connector information listed on the nameplate includes catalog references T600LA and TA600LA, each accommodating (2) 250 to 500 MCM conductors torqued to 300 lb. in. The trip adjustment section is visible on the lower portion of the housing, with the 500A rating marked on the adjustment panel.
