A complete base drive panel assembly from Giddings & Lewis Electronics Company, Fond du Lac, WI, built around a Gettys N350 three phase half wave SCR servo controller. The Gettys controller carries type number 11-1015-46, serial number 29754, and is configured as a three phase half wave controller for DC servo motor armature control. The Giddings & Lewis base panel is identified as assembly 503-819-15 with a "Base Drive Panel" label. The assembly is mounted on a phenolic backing plate and combines the Gettys SCR power module with current transformers, a multi terminal control PCB with input/output terminal strip, dynamic braking resistor, two power contactors, fuse block with cartridge fuses, and ribbon cable interconnect to plug in daughter cards. Power terminations include +D.C. and D.C. armature outputs and three phase A.C. line inputs. The Gettys N350 platform was originally produced by Gettys Corporation and later Gould/Gettys, and was widely used in legacy CNC machining centers, horizontal boring mills, and turning centers built by Giddings & Lewis and other OEMs during the SCR drive era. Line to line voltage and rated motor current fields on the nameplate are blank and were not factory marked. Suitable for use as a replacement panel, harvest of individual components, or rebuild stock for legacy Giddings & Lewis CNC machine tool electrical cabinets. Discontinued by manufacturer.
