The Giddings and Lewis DBPMI Board, assembly number 501-04119-00 and PCB number 502-03287-00, is a multi-function backplane monitor and interface module used in Giddings and Lewis CNC control systems. The silkscreen designates it a DBPMI Board, and the Giddings and Lewis Electronics logo is not visible on this board. Serial number 517202 is stamped at the lower edge. Voltage monitoring indicators for +5V, +12V, and -12V are labeled along the left edge alongside LED2-1 through LED2-6 status indicators and a RESET pushbutton (PB1-1). A board test point (TP9) and voltage adjust potentiometer (SW1-1) are accessible at the upper left. The board includes an AD580 precision voltage reference (MC1-1), three LM339 quad comparator ICs (IC-2, IC-5, IC-8), a NEC DB253C-2 programmable interval timer (IC-19), an Intel OP8255A-5 programmable peripheral interface (IC-30), and an MB8416A-15L static RAM (IC-55). Additional logic devices include LS164, LS157, LS151, LS138, LS145, LS240, LS257, LS244, LS375, LS374, LS340, LS682, LS32, LS30, LS11, LS04, LS00, LS10, LS90, ALS240, and 7406 open-collector buffer ICs. An EXPANSION BUS connector is labeled at the left edge, with CONN P1 and P2 card-edge finger connectors on the right. Board address jumpers labeled BOARD 0 through 7 and BOARD 8 through 15 are visible at the right center. J2 memory size jumpers are labeled 2K and 8K. Through-hole construction throughout on a multi-layer green PCB with gold-plated edge connectors.
