Used in Giddings & Lewis CNC machining center control systems, the 501-03895-02 is a CRT Data Interface board carrying assembly numbers 502-03098-01 and 503-15596-02 as printed on the PCB silkscreen. The board is a large-format, double-sided printed circuit assembly populated with TTL logic ICs including DM74LS series devices, SP9000-series components, and a Hitachi HD46505SP-2 CRT controller IC, which is consistent with display interfacing functions in legacy CNC operator panel systems. The Hitachi HD68B45SP processor visible at position U70 further supports a CRT-based display controller function. Multiple sub-assembly sticker labels are present on ICs across the board, indicating factory-level component-level assembly tracking.
