This listing is for one used Giddings and Lewis EIA Interface circuit board, assembly number 501-03168-00, schematic number 502-02804-50, manufactured by Giddings and Lewis Electronics. A serial number label is present at the lower right board edge. This is a large-format double-sided PCB with metal card guide rails on both the top and bottom edges and gold-fingered edge connectors along the left and right sides for backplane installation into a compatible Giddings and Lewis CNC control rack. The board is densely populated with rows of 14-pin and 16-pin DIP integrated circuits including Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor DM74LS family logic devices. A Texas Instruments TMS601NC serial communications IC in a 40-pin DIP package is visible at the lower center of the board at position TP6, accompanied by a metal can crystal oscillator marked 2 MHz. Red disc capacitors and axial resistors are distributed throughout, along with multiple test points labeled TP1 through TP9. The board functions as an EIA serial communications interface processor within Giddings and Lewis CNC machine tool control systems. This product has been discontinued by the original manufacturer and is available as a surplus replacement. All components appear visually present with no visible signs of burning, cracking, or missing parts.
