Used in Giddings & Lewis CNC machining systems, the Upper Panel Operator Board part number 502-03432-01 (assembly number 501-04318-01) is a PCB-based operator interface assembly designed for the G&L CNC control platform manufactured by Giddings & Lewis, now operating under Fives. The board features an array of illuminated pushbutton switches mounted to a black metal panel, with red indicator LEDs associated with each switch position. Visible key functions include Load Delete, Edit, Punch, Dry Run, Auto, Path Recovery, Load Offset, Block Delete, Optional Program Stop, Cycle Out, In/mm, Master Clear, Off, and a series of feedrate increment selections ranging from .0001 in to 100 mm increments. The assembly connects to the control system via a ribbon cable interface visible along the bottom edge of the PCB. This board is identified on the PCB silkscreen as UPPER PANEL OP BD with part number 502-03432-01 and assembly number 501-04318-01. It is a discontinued item per the manufacturer and is no longer available through OEM channels, making surplus units the primary source for maintenance and repair of legacy G&L CNC systems.
