Hammond Power Solutions Industrial Control Transformer PH500MQMJ

The Hammond Power Solutions PH500MQMJ is a 500 VA machine tool rated industrial control transformer from the HPS Imperator series. It features a dual primary voltage configuration of 240 x 480 VAC with selectable 230 x 460 VAC and 220 x 440 VAC taps, and a dual secondary voltage configuration of 120 x 240 VAC with 115 x 230 VAC and 110 x 220 VAC taps. Rated for 50/60 Hz operation, the unit delivers a maximum secondary current of 4.17 A at 120 V or 2.08 A at 240 V. Construction uses high quality silicon steel laminations with encapsulated coils housed inside a custom injection molded cover that protects windings and terminations from moisture, dirt, and airborne industrial contaminants. Heavy steel mounting feet are welded or bolted to the core for panel mount installation. The patented terminal block design accepts standard 13/32 x 1 1/2 inch midget or type CC fuse clips on the secondary side, with optional primary fuse kit (PFK3) sold separately. Insulation class is 130 deg C with an 80 deg C temperature rise. The PH500MQMJ carries UL, cUL, and CE approvals under file E50394 and is designed for high inrush applications such as relays, solenoids, magnetic motor starters, panel boards, HVAC controls, and timer circuits. Overall dimensions measure 4.75 in L x 5.94 in W x 4.31 in H. Single phase, 600V class.
