The Hevi-Duty Y1500 is a single phase industrial control transformer rated at 1.5 KVA. The nameplate identifies it as a Type SZO transformer with a 105 degree C insulation class, manufactured by Hevi-Duty (now part of Sola Hevi-Duty under EGS Electrical Group). Catalog number Y1500 is printed clearly on the nameplate, along with the case marking HDM 1696.

Primary voltage taps are configured for 220 x 440V, 230 x 460V, and 240 x 480V operation at 50/60 Hz. Secondary voltage taps are 110V, 115V, and 120V. Primary terminals are labeled H1, H2, H3, and H4, with secondary terminals X1 and X2. The schematic on the nameplate shows the standard cross-wired primary connection for dual voltage operation.

Construction features an open style core and coil design with copper windings, steel mounting brackets with slotted feet for panel mounting, and screw terminal connections on both primary and secondary sides. UL listed under file number LR14328. Additional markings include TL 35A and 42G7 LISTED.

This SBE series transformer is commonly used in machine tool control circuits, motor control panels, SCR variable speed drives, laboratory equipment, and general industrial control applications requiring voltage isolation and step down from line voltage to standard 120V control circuits. Y1500N is the current OEM replacement catalog number under the Sola HD brand.
