This listing is for a Mitsubishi Electric Corporation MELDAS Control Unit, Type UF740B, manufactured in Japan. The unit carries the MELDAS designation YQ8Z, with a date code of 87.06 (June 1987) and serial number 177, as stamped on the nameplate. A secondary label on an internal subassembly reads PD14C-1, manufactured in Japan, date code 87-05, with part number 74024-0023 visible on an adjacent label.

The UF740B is a multi-slot CNC control unit rack from Mitsubishi's MELDAS series, a numerical control platform widely used in Mazak and other Japanese machine tool applications from the mid-1980s onward. As visible in the photos, the rack is populated with multiple plug-in module cards. Slot designations visible on the rear panel include FXB1, FX701, FXB84, FX327, FX302, FX215, FX98, and FX313. The unit includes an integrated power supply section mounted at the right side of the rack.
