Used in surface grinding, milling, EDM, and toolroom setups, the Phase II 235-302 is a 2 in. precision screwless toolmaker vise designed for accurate workholding in compact machine environments. The body is constructed from hardened alloy steel with all critical surfaces precision ground. Squareness and parallelism are rated at plus or minus 0.0002 in. on critical sides, consistent with published specifications for the 235-302 form factor. The screwless design allows the movable jaw to be repositioned quickly by loosening a single socket head cap screw, sliding the jaw to the desired position along the slotted base, and retightening. Jaw capacity is 0 to 3.15 in., with a total vise length of 5.91 in., width of 1.97 in., and height of 2.09 in. per published specifications for the equivalent 0235-0302 configuration. The stationary jaw includes threaded holes on each side for mounting a work stop, supporting repeatable setups. The vise can be oriented flat or on its side, and the movable jaw incorporates a V-groove for holding round stock. Phase II is a recognized brand in the US industrial tooling market. Part number 235-302 corresponds to the 2 in. jaw width model in the Phase II precision screwless vise series.
