The Pulsafeeder MEC-O-MATIC VSP-20 is a variable speed peristaltic metering pump, part number UVSP20XRLLAUXXX, serial number 0612300244. Built for low-volume chemical dosing applications, this unit operates on 115 VAC at 50/60 Hz and draws 0.1 amps. Maximum discharge pressure is rated at 25 PSI (1.8 bar), with a nominal maximum feed rate of 20 GPD (3.2 LPH).
Operation is governed by a continuous duty shaded pole DC gear motor driving a self lubricating roller assembly. The polycarbonate dispenser head snaps on and off without tools, allowing fast tubing replacement, and the molded ABS housing provides chemical resistance. Front panel controls include an ON/OFF rocker switch and a recessed variable speed potentiometer that adjusts the gear motor output across a 15 to 100 percent range of the 14 RPM base speed for dosing trim. The output shaft is supported by heavy duty bearings, and all exposed fasteners are stainless steel.
Common applications include water treatment, wastewater treatment, cooling tower chemical feed, pool and spa chemistry, car wash systems, and general low pressure chemical dosing. The VSP series is compatible with a broad range of chemicals including sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide. Tubing is renewable by replacement using the Pulsafeeder VSP series tube kit. Manufactured by Pulsafeeder, a unit of IDEX Corporation, in Punta Gorda, Florida.
