The Signode CU-25 is a manual heavy duty strap cutter built for cutting steel and plastic strapping up to 2 inches wide and 0.050 inches thick. Signode internal SKU 00871.98 identifies this as the standard handle CU-25 configuration, supplied in the original Signode box with instruction sheet. The reversible guillotine style cutter blade is bolted between two forged handles finished in tan industrial enamel, with cushioned grips at the ends of each handle for operator comfort during repeated cuts.

Designed for use in shipping, receiving, warehousing, steel service centers, coil processing, and any operation that uses high tensile steel strapping or heavy gauge plastic strap, the CU-25 is intended for both strap removal from incoming loads and on the fly cutting of strap to length during packaging. The bottom cutter blade (Signode part 005743) is replaceable, and complete service parts are cataloged in the Signode 186073 service manual covering the CU-25 platform.
