The SPI 22-147-3 is a Class ZZ pin gage set covering a measurement range of 0.061" to 0.250" in 0.001" increments, comprising 190 individual hardened steel pins. Each pin is centerless lapped to a 10 microinch finish or better and heat treated to a hardness of 60 to 62 RC. The set carries a minus tolerance of 0.0002", meaning each pin is manufactured at nominal size or slightly below, making this set appropriate for verifying the upper limit of hole sizes. Pins are marked with both size and tolerance direction for easy field identification. The set is housed in a molded plastic carrying case with individually labeled positions for each pin size. Internal reference FMI-0984 and serial number 1001582 are visible on the case and tray respectively. SPI pin gage sets are traceable to NIST standards and are manufactured to Class ZZ specifications per ANSI/ASME B89.1.5. Applications include hole size verification, slot width measurement, distance between holes, and Go/NoGo inspection tasks across manufacturing, quality control, and toolroom environments.
