Used in automated assembly lines, packaging systems, and conveyor presence detection, the wenglor P1KL002 is a miniature retro-reflex photoelectric sensor rated for 10-30 VDC operation. The sensor uses red laser light to detect objects up to 5,000 mm (5 m) range, including reflective and glossy surfaces that challenge conventional diffuse sensors. Output configuration is NPN/PNP antivalent with both normally open and normally closed switching logic available simultaneously. Current consumption is rated at less than 20 mA, and the M8 4-pin connector provides a compact, field-standard termination. The P1KL002 supports IO-Link 1.1 communication, allowing remote configuration of operating mode, switching distance, and output logic, as well as live signal value readout for condition monitoring. The sensor is rated IP67/IP68 for dust and submersion protection and is specified for an operating temperature range of -40 to +60 degrees C. It carries CE and UL listings and is manufactured by wenglor sensoric GmbH in Romania. The unit ships in original wenglor retail packaging with documentation included. This part number is the designated successor to the wenglor LK89PA7.
