Used and surplus chucks for sale. MRO Exchange carries a rotating selection of lathe and CNC chucks available for immediate purchase and fast nationwide shipping.
The chuck is the primary interface between the machine spindle and the workpiece on a lathe or CNC turning center. Its accuracy, gripping force, and repeatability directly determine what the machine can hold, how accurately it can hold it, and how consistently it can return to that position from one part to the next. Choosing the right chuck type for the application is as important as the chuck quality itself.
Three jaw scroll chucks self-center automatically and are the workholding standard for round and hexagonal bar stock in general turning production. Four jaw independent chucks grip irregular shapes and allow precise manual centering of non-round workpieces, making them the toolroom standard for one-off and prototype turning work. Collet chucks grip bar stock and finished diameters with higher accuracy and concentricity than jaw chucks, and are the preferred choice for precision turning applications where runout must be minimized. Drill chucks mount in tailstocks and machining center spindles for drilling operations where a keyed or keyless chuck handles the tool range more practically than a collet system.
Chuck wear concentrates in the scroll mechanism on three jaw chucks, the jaw slides on four jaw chucks, and the collet taper and drawbar threads on collet chucks. A surplus chuck in good condition with minimal wear on these surfaces delivers production-level accuracy. MRO Exchange lists condition details for every chuck in our inventory so buyers can make an informed assessment before purchasing.
Every chuck listed on MRO Exchange ships nationwide from our facility in Illinois at prices well below new distributor cost.
