Used in machine shop coolant management applications, the Blaser Skimmy is a belt-type tramp oil skimmer manufactured by Blaser + Co. AG of Hasle-Rugsau, Switzerland (CH-3415). The unit is designed to continuously remove floating tramp oil from CNC machine coolant sumps, helping to extend coolant service life and reduce bacterial contamination. The kit includes the orange cast-body skimmer unit, a motor and belt assembly, a black steel mounting rail bracket with adjustable positioning, and a programmable digital timer controller. The controller is identified on its nameplate as Type STA-E and is rated DC 15V at 60 mA. It features a backlit LCD display with Timer, Day, h+, and m+ buttons plus a Reset function, allowing scheduled operation cycles to be programmed as needed.
