The B&R X20IF1030 is a serial communications interface module designed for use with the X20 modular I/O and control system platform. It provides one RS-422 and RS-485 interface port via a 9-pin D-Sub female connector, with electrically isolated signal transmission and a maximum communication speed of 115.2 kbit/s. The module is part of the X20 series, which connects directly to X20 CPUs and bus controllers using the system's high-density edge connector interface visible on the underside of the unit.

The X20IF1030 carries CE marking and is rated for ATEX compliance, meeting the II 3G Ex nA nC IIA T5 Gc classification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Additional certifications include cULus, cCSAus, DNV GL, Lloyd's Register, KR, ABS, EAC, and KC. The module is rated for operating temperatures from negative 25 degrees to positive 60 degrees Celsius and storage temperatures from negative 40 to positive 85 degrees Celsius. Power consumption is 0.42 W.

Revision C0 is confirmed visible on the housing. The barcode number 7976016879 is visible on the rear label. This unit is presented in its original cardboard box with antistatic foam insert. B&R X20 series modules consist of three subcomponents, and this electronics module is compatible with the corresponding X20 terminal block and bus module for complete system assembly.
