Manufactured by Eppinger in Denkendorf, Germany (D-73770), this unit features a BMT65 base mount interface and an ER32 collet chuck output for tool clamping. The nameplate confirms a maximum spindle speed of 4,000 RPM and a 1:1 gear ratio. The square body construction is consistent with the Preci-Flex 25 modular system, which allows interchangeable adapter heads to be used with a single base holder. Compatible machine platforms for the R78688 series include Doosan Puma, Haas ST and DS series with BMT65 turrets, Hyundai WIA, Hurco TMX, and other CNC lathes and turn-mill centers using 12 or 24 station BMT65 configurations.
