Used in industrial DC motor control applications, the Eurotherm Drives 590 Digital Series is a three-phase SCR-based DC drive designed for variable-speed control of DC motors. The unit features a digital front panel with LCD display and LED status indicators for Health, Run, Start Contactor, Overcurrent Trip, Program Stop, and Coast Stop. Maximum output ratings as shown on the nameplate include armature at 500/240 VDC and field at 300/150 VDC, with an auxiliary output of 120/115 VAC single-phase. The drive is rated for 200% full load current for 10 seconds. This assembly includes the drive module along with externally mounted power contactors, AC supply fusing rated at 50A (Ferraz Shawmut A50P300 type), and terminal wiring. The nameplate identifies the manufacturer as Eurotherm Drives, Inc., Charlotte, North Carolina, with document reference GA351707. Serial number 9620USA0041 is visible on the nameplate barcode label.
