Used in pharmaceutical water systems and semiconductor ultrapure water monitoring, the Mettler-Toledo Thornton 5000TOC is an online Total Organic Carbon analyzer that uses UV oxidation combined with differential conductivity to continuously measure TOC concentrations in process water. Part number 58 036 001, serial number 508040018, manufactured in the USA.

Input power is 100 to 130VAC, 50 to 60Hz, 25W. Fuse rating is 250V, 1.25A, 5x20mm, Type T (Time Lag). The unit carries UL US Listed and CE marks and is designated Measuring Equipment class 26MR. Maximum inlet sample pressure is 85 PSIG. Sample inlet includes a 60-micron inlet filter. The front panel includes status indicators for Fault, Error, Sensor Status, and UV Lamp ON, along with a UV lamp power switch. The rear panel provides an AC power connection port and a 770MAX connection via a multi-pin circular connector. A UV lamp replacement cover with quarter-turn fastener is accessible from the front. Both sample outlet and sample inlet fittings are present on the rear panel.

The 5000TOC is designed for connection to the Thornton 770MAX Multiparameter Analyzer Transmitter. Up to two 5000TOC sensors can operate simultaneously on a single 770MAX platform. The unit meets USP and EP 2.2.44 pharmacopeial requirements for TOC instrumentation. No moving parts are present in the measurement flow path. The item bears a vendor calibration label; calibration currency requires independent verification by the buyer.
