Ohio Gear catalog number O-3 is a worm gear reducer assembled with an integral motor, manufactured by Ohio Gear, a division of Towmotor Corp. of Cleveland, Ohio. The unit carries serial number 775634 and is configured as Assembly B with a 50:1 reduction ratio. The cast iron gearbox housing is painted in the manufacturer's characteristic teal green and is base-mounted on a steel plate, allowing for straightforward installation in a variety of industrial drive applications. The output shaft is visible on the front face of the reducer, and a flexible jaw-type coupling connects the motor shaft to the gearbox input. An oil fill port is present on the top of the gearbox housing. The motor is directly coupled to the reducer and shares the same base plate, forming a compact gearmotor assembly suited for low-speed, high-torque drive requirements. Worm gear reducers with a 50:1 ratio are commonly used in conveyor systems, packaging equipment, agitators, and other machinery requiring significant speed reduction from a standard motor input. Motor horsepower and electrical specifications were not legible in the available photographs.
