The Reliance Electric 805405-3R is a single phase Field Power Module from the AutoMax SF3000 Distributed Power System product family. This panel mounted assembly carries Reliance Electric assembly number 805405-3R, references manual S-3060, wiring diagram 30332, and uses PC board O-60014-C. It is a reversing (S2R) configuration that supplies adjustable voltage, current regulated field excitation to DC motors and generators operating within the AutoMax Distributed Power System environment.

Nameplate input rating is 230 to 460 VAC, 15 A, 50/60 Hz. Rated DC output is 500 VDC at 15 A. The module integrates a single phase controlled SCR power bridge along with power devices, suppressors, and feedback elements required to regulate motor or generator field current. The module typically operates in conjunction with a three phase Armature Power Module mounted in the same PMI rack, with the SCR bridge controlled through AutoMax Programming Executive software and monitored by the PMI processor.

Construction features include an electrically isolated power cube with dv/dt protection, internal AC line fuses, and a self firing clamp providing protection against inductive voltage kick caused by current interruption. The chassis is enclosed for panel mounting, with two power wire entry grommets on the top and factory drilled air circulation holes plus a 14 pin control card connector on the bottom. Manufacturer published dimensions are approximately 13.4 in. tall, 5 in. wide, and 5 in. deep. The unit was produced by Reliance Electric in Westerville, Ohio, USA, and has since been discontinued by the OEM, with continued aftermarket support for legacy AutoMax DC drive installations.
