The Seco Tools CFIR12504D is an indexable external grooving and multi-directional turning tool holder from Seco's MDT (Multi-Directional Turning) system. The holder features a 1.25 in. x 1.25 in. square shank with a 6 in. overall length and accommodates four insert seats compatible with LC series inserts. Right-hand cutting direction with a 90-degree lead angle. Seco item number 00002813, EDP 02813, with a secondary reference number 4814269 095 stamped on the shank. Maximum torque rating of 8 Nm as marked on the body. The MDT system is designed for grooving, profiling, turning, parting off, and threading operations on CNC and manual lathes, allowing a single holder to replace multiple standard tools across varied lathe diameters and profiles. Seco's Secoloc clamping mechanism is integral to this holder design. A hex key wrench is included. Seco Tools is a Swedish-origin manufacturer positioned at the premium tier of indexable tooling.
