Used in heavy machining environments alongside horizontal boring mills and large vertical lathes, this W.B. Knight Machinery Company powered rotary table features a cast iron construction with a 4-jaw faceplate configuration and an integral hydraulic power unit with an electric drive motor mounted to the side housing. W.B. Knight was a St. Louis, Missouri machine builder whose rotary tables were recognized for their rigid, accurate construction and were produced under license by John Ramming Machine Company after Mr. Knight's passing.
The faceplate diameter measures approximately 40 in. based on visible tape measure references in the photos. The nameplate, riveted to the teal painted housing, shows Serial Number 51111 and a weight designation of 100, with the W.B. Knight Versatile, Accurate, Rigid shield logo and St. Louis, MO origin. No model number is confirmed from visible markings.
The table body and 4-jaw assemblies show significant surface oxidation consistent with long-term storage. The hydraulic power unit and corrugated conduit runs are intact and present. The rear of the table shows the teal factory paint, hydraulic fittings, and motor connections. This table is a standalone unit resting on integral cast feet. Buyers requiring a powered rotary table for large-format boring, milling, or inspection work will recognize the W.B. Knight name as an established American manufacturer of heavy-duty precision rotary equipment.
