The Adamant Valves AV-1PC-3VNC-304-S is a 3 inch sanitary pneumatic butterfly valve designed for isolation and flow control in process piping systems. The valve body and disc are constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, and the valve connects on both ends via standard tri-clamp ferrule fittings with a clamp OD of 91 mm. The pneumatic actuator is a vertical-type stainless steel 304 single-acting unit, normally closed configuration, meaning it is air-to-open and spring-to-close. Per the nameplate notice label, actuator air supply operates at 5 to 7 bar (72 to 102 PSI), output torque is rated at 20 NM, maximum air pressure for use is 9 bar, and actuation shut-off time is 1.5 seconds. Per published Adamant Valves specifications for the AV-1PC series, maximum working pressure is 145 PSI (10 bar) for DN25 through DN100 sizes. Working temperature range is 14 to 248 degrees Fahrenheit with EPDM seating, and higher temperatures are available with silicone or Viton seats. Surface finish is Ra 32 microinches (0.8 micrometers) as standard. The AV-1PC series is compatible with a range of seat materials including EPDM, VMQ silicone, and Viton, all complying with FDA 21CFR177.2600. This valve is suited for food processing, beverage, dairy, brewing, pharmaceutical, and bioengineering applications requiring automated pneumatic actuation in sanitary tri-clamp piping systems.
