The Air System Products SD11-Y is an electronic timer controlled condensate drain valve from the Sure-Drain product family, manufactured by Air System Products of Lancaster, NY. The unit is configured for 120V, 60Hz, single phase operation and is rated for 275 PSI service. Inlet connection is 1/4 inch NPT and outlet connection is 1/2 inch NPT. The "Y" suffix in the model designation indicates the integrated Y strainer configuration, which filters particulate matter ahead of the brass solenoid valve to extend service life in compressed air system applications.
Front panel controls include a dual adjustable solid state timer with separate knobs for OFF TIME (cycle frequency, 5 seconds to 50 minutes) and ON TIME (cycle duration, 1 to 15 seconds). A test position allows the unit to be cycled manually for setup and troubleshooting. Two pilot lights provide visual status: a red POWER ON indicator and a green VALVE OPEN indicator. The control electronics are housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure with mounting tabs for wall or panel installation, and the unit ships with an 8 foot grounded power cord.
The Sure-Drain SD11 series is engineered for trouble free removal of accumulated condensate, oil, and water from compressed air filters, air receivers, refrigerated air dryers, separators, and aftercoolers. The solid state timer energizes the valve coil to initiate each drain cycle, and the spring return valve closes when the coil is de-energized at the end of the programmed ON TIME.
