A CAT40 keyless drill chuck assembly with a 1/4 to 1 inch capacity range, identifiable by the markings "ST1 1/4 '1'" on the collet face and "CT 40 1 S-3.375" on the taper flange ring. The CAT40 taper shank is the standard 7:24 milling machine interface widely used in VMCs and horizontal machining centers from manufacturers including Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, and Fadal. The 3.375 inch gauge length is stamped on the flange. The chuck body features a knurled grip sleeve for manual tightening and two spanner wrench holes for additional torque. The jaws are three-segment construction visible in the collet face view. The chuck and arbor are mated via Jacobs taper — the assembly includes both the CAT40 arbor shank with integral flange and the separate keyless chuck body. A 1 inch maximum capacity is uncommon in the CAT40 keyless format and is suited to applications requiring large-diameter drill shanks in machining center setups.
