The Eaton ME020F is a Size 0 NEMA rated DC contactor from the Type ME 600 Volt Definite Purpose contactor family, originally manufactured under the Cutler Hammer brand and made in the U.S.A. The factory carton label identifies it as a 10 Amp, 2 Pole, normally open contactor with a 550 VDC operating coil. The internal identifier 7856A36H01 appears on the device nameplate alongside the ME020F catalog number. Per Eaton published specifications for the ME020 family, this device is rated for an 8 hour open ampere rating of 10 amps with two normally open main contacts, provision for mechanical interlock, and two electrical interlocks. The unit is front connected with mounting holes sized for 3/8 inch diameter bolts and is intended for vertical mounting on a flat metal panel. The coil voltage suffix F designates 550 VDC, used on machine tool, mining, mill, and crane DC control circuits where higher control voltages are required. Type ME contactors are commonly applied as replacements for earlier rear connected Type M and MM contactors when used with conversion kit 2184A10G06.
