Used in hydronic and process water line applications, the Hoffman Specialty No. 79 water main vent valve (MPN 401488) serves as the primary component of this multi-piece process assembly. The No. 79 features a cast brass body with copper pneumatic bell, a built-in check valve, 1/2 in. NPT female and 3/4 in. NPT male straight shank connections, and a maximum operating pressure of 75 PSI (5.2 bar). Maximum hydrostatic pressure is 200 PSI (13.8 bar) and maximum temperature is 250 degrees F (121 degrees C). The valve is tapped at the top for a 1/8 in. NPT safety drain connection and features a removable top. Designed for use on hot, cold, or glycol water mains and process applications with specific gravity greater than 0.7, this valve is manufactured by Hoffman Specialty, a brand of Xylem Inc. and formerly Bell & Gossett.

The assembly also includes a stainless steel conical vessel (Glacier Tanks, SS304, 2 in. TSMP tri-clamp connection, Rev A), a pressure gauge, two brass ball valves rated 600 CWP, a cast iron manifold body marked MB-304, and associated fittings. The tri-clamp base connection and stainless construction are consistent with sanitary or process fluid applications. Markings on the Glacier Tanks clamp band indicate manufacture date of 2020.
