The Joslyn Clark T13U031 is a NEMA Size 1 magnetic motor starter rated for 27 amps at up to 600V AC. Manufactured in Lancaster, SC, this Bulletin 6013 Type TM starter is supplied inside its matching general purpose NEMA 1 surface mount steel enclosure (UL listed Type 734 G). The unit is constructed with a 3 pole power section, screw type line and load terminals, and an integrated 3 pole overload relay block with heater elements installed. Maximum horsepower ratings per the nameplate are 2 HP at 115V single phase, 3 HP at 230V single phase, 7.5 HP at 200V and 230V three phase, and 10 HP at 460 to 575V three phase. The interior label specifies suitability for use on a circuit capable of delivering not more than 5,000 RMS symmetrical amperes, 600 volts maximum, with #14 to #4 AWG wiring at 35 lb in screw torque, using 60/75 degree C copper conductors only. The enclosure features multiple concentric knockouts on top, bottom, and sides for conduit entry, a hinged latching cover, and an internal wiring diagram label covering pilot device connections, momentary contact pushbutton configurations, separate control wiring, and heater selection by motor full load current. Type TM accessory components and KTM auxiliary contacts are compatible with this device. Applications include across the line starting of three phase squirrel cage induction motors in industrial machinery, pumps, fans, conveyors, and HVAC equipment. UL and CSA listed.
