Used in steam heating and steam process equipment, the Spirax Sarco FT-200 is a cast iron float and thermostatic steam trap rated for a maximum operating pressure (PMO) of 200 PSIG and a maximum allowable pressure (PMA) of 200 PSIG at 450 degrees F. The TMA is 450 degrees F at 200 PSIG. Connection size is 3/4 in. NPT. The inlet port is marked with a directional arrow indicating installation orientation.
The internal mechanism includes a stainless steel float valve assembly and a balanced pressure thermostatic air vent for continuous condensate drainage and automatic venting of air and non-condensable gases. The cast iron body carries the marking BF2 and is manufactured in the USA. Stock number 66673 appears on the nameplate label.
This trap is suited for heat exchangers, unit heaters, air heating coils, steam main drip stations, and modulating temperature control valve applications. The float and thermostatic design allows the trap to modulate discharge in response to varying condensate loads, making it appropriate for systems subject to fluctuating steam demand.
Port caps are present on the inlet. No visible damage or deformation to the body or cover bolts. Spiral cap bolts are marked NDF. Sold as surplus and has not been tested.
