The Square D 8536SDO1V02S is a NEMA Size 2 AC magnetic motor starter manufactured by Schneider Electric under Class 8536, Type S, Series A. Designed for full voltage non reversing starting and stopping of three phase AC squirrel cage motors, this open style starter is rated for 45 amperes continuous duty across three poles at a maximum system voltage of 600V AC, 50/60 Hz. Horsepower ratings are 10 HP at 200V, 15 HP at 230V, and 25 HP at 460/575V three phase, corresponding to 7.5 kW, 11 kW, and 18.5 kW respectively. The operating coil is rated 120V AC at 60 Hz or 110V AC at 50 Hz and is wired for separate control. Overload protection is provided by a melting alloy thermal overload relay configured for three Type B thermal units, which are field installed based on motor full load amperage. The starter is UL Listed, CSA Certified, and bears NOM and CE markings, with assembly in Mexico. Order number 88212, UPC 785901882121. Typical applications include pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors, machine tools, and other industrial motor loads requiring NEMA rated control reliability. The open construction allows installation inside a customer supplied enclosure or motor control center. Direct OEM replacement for legacy 8536SDO1S configurations using a 120V control coil.
